ADVANCED CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION EQUIPMENT

ACDE® Europe highlights the BLTB-200-5-W ahead of FACHTAGUNG ABBRUCH 2026

On 13 March 2026, the German demolition industry will gather in Berlin for FACHTAGUNG ABBRUCH 2026. The event is considered one of the most important meeting points for demolition contractors, engineering offices, equipment manufacturers and service providers active in demolition, hazardous material remediation and recycling.

At the previous conference, more than 1,200 participants took the opportunity to exchange technical knowledge and industry experience. 114 exhibitors presented their products and services during the accompanying trade exhibition, providing a valuable complement to the conference programme. The central theme “Quality in Demolition” ran through numerous presentations and discussions, highlighting the increasing importance of efficient, safe and sustainable working methods.

Although ACDE® Europe will not be present in person this year, the company would like to use the occasion to contribute to the ongoing technical discussion regarding the performance and efficiency of modern hydraulic breakers.

Rethinking Performance: Pressure Instead of Blow Frequency

With the ACDE® Europe hydraulic hammer BLTB-200-5-W, ACDE® Europe follows a technical approach that differs significantly from many conventional hydraulic breakers.

Ansatz, der sich in wesentlichen Punkten von vielen konventionellen Hydraulikhämmern unterscheidet.

While many breakers on the market typically operate at working pressures of around 160 to 180 bar, ACDE® Europe hydraulic hammers operate, depending on the model, within a working pressure range of approximately 180 up to 330 bar. This higher energy density is made possible through several patented innovations in construction and energy transmission.

The actual performance of the hammer therefore depends not only on the hammer itself but also to a large extent on the hydraulic capacity of the carrier machine, particularly pump design, available oil flow and system pressure.

This concept results in a working behaviour that may initially feel unusual for operators. The BLTB-200-5-W typically operates with a lower blow frequency, while each individual impact delivers significantly higher single-blow energy.

Practical observations

Practical observations during the demolition of heavily reinforced concrete foundations illustrate this effect clearly. Even when mounted on an excavator that could only provide around 70% of the hammer’s theoretical performance, the BLTB-200-5-W achieved noticeably faster demolition progress than a larger competing hammer mounted on a larger carrier machine.

These results show that in many applications single-blow energy and the hydraulic matching between excavator and attachment are more decisive for productivity than a high blow frequency or simply a larger hammer size.

At the same time, the slower but more powerful impact pattern results in reduced vibration levels, less mechanical wear on both the carrier machine and the attachment, and a deeper, lower-frequency acoustic profile. A reduction in dust formation during reinforced concrete demolition can also be observed.

These characteristics are particularly relevant for infrastructure projects and demolition work in urban environments, where noise, vibration and dust emissions are becoming increasingly important operational factors.

Contacts in Germany

Although ACDE® Europe will not be present in person at FACHTAGUNG ABBRUCH 2026, several experienced partners are available as contact points in Germany.

Bergauer Regenerierung GmbH

Bergauer Regenerierung GmbH is a specialised company for the regeneration and repair of construction machinery components, particularly buckets, shovels and undercarriage systems. The company also manufactures customised solutions for excavator buckets and wear protection.

With its own logistics fleet, Bergauer can respond flexibly and quickly to customer requirements and supports clients in the construction, quarrying, demolition and recycling industries.
