In Germany’s Eifel region, the BEILITE® Europe BLTB-200-5-W hydraulic breaker demonstrates its capabilities in the dismantling of a massive wind turbine foundation. Under Germany’s nationwide decommissioning requirements, wind turbine foundations must be completely removed after final shutdown, including the elimination of soil sealing — typically down to a depth of two metres below ground.

With an operating weight of 5,240 kg, a 200 mm chisel diameter, and a working pressure of 280–300 bar at an oil flow of 280–330 l/min, the BLTB-200-5-W is engineered for large-scale, deep and demanding demolition work.
For this project, the breaker was mounted on a Hitachi ZX490, a widely used carrier machine for heavy civil engineering and demolition tasks.

Efficient, Controlled Demolition

The breaker’s precise impact energy enables controlled reduction of the massive foundation while protecting newly built surrounding structures.
Excavated material — primarily concrete and steel — is recycled and reused as secondary raw material in civil and road construction.
